8 Month Course in 'Practical Event Management'

Course Overview

If you would like to be a competent and confident event manager then this course is for you. In this 8 month course you will learn all the principles of events management that will land you your dream job. The course will focus on the practical aspect of event management and  as part of the course you will plan an event for a real organisation that you can put on your resume.

In this CPD accredited course you will learn how to implement a live event that meets local district council standards & regulations and one that can withstand SAG scrutiny. The course is based on student self-directed activities supported with on-demand tutorials and lectures over an 8 month planning period.  You will plan an event based on the brief and specification of a client. At the end of this course, students would have implemented a medium-scale event at a venue, which should give you the confidence to undertake any event management role in any organisation. In addition, you will gain experience in client management and an appreciation of the legislative and regulatory framework that governs the event industry in the UK.

Persons who have practical experience in staging and delivering live events is the preferred choice of event employers whether or not you have a degree.  Classes will occur weekly in the city of Chichester area - evening classes to accommodate working individuals from 5.30-7.30pm. Because the course is CPD accredited you can use your new qualification to apply for jobs in the industry. 80% attendance is mandatory to receive certification.
